Who we are

Cobyx ("we", "us") is a chiptuning and ECU remapping workshop. This policy covers data collected through https://cobyx.eu — the contact form, the newsletter and File Editor waitlist signups, and the chat assistant. For anything not covered here, email us at support@cobyx.eu.

What we collect, and why

Contact form:name, email, vehicle, ECU type, and your message. Used solely to respond to your enquiry. We don't add contact form submissions to any mailing list — that only happens if you separately subscribe to the newsletter or waitlist.

Newsletter and File Editor waitlist: just your email address, collected with your explicit consent when you submit the signup form. Used to send you the update you signed up for — new blog posts and major site changes for the newsletter, launch updates for the waitlist — and nothing else.

Chat assistant:messages you send are processed by Google's Gemini API to generate a reply. We don't log or store chat conversations on our own servers — they exist only in your browser session and are cleared when you refresh the page.

Who processes it

We use Resend to send emails and manage the newsletter/waitlist subscriber lists, and Google (Gemini API)to generate chat assistant replies. Both may process data outside the EU under their own applicable safeguards. We don't sell or share your data with anyone else, for any other purpose.

How long we keep it

Contact form enquiries are kept as ordinary business correspondence for as long as reasonably useful. Newsletter and waitlist email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them — whichever comes first.

Cookies

This site doesn't currently set any cookies or use analytics or tracking tools of any kind. If that changes in the future — for example, if we add site analytics — we'll update this section and ask for consent where required before doing so.

Your rights

Under GDPR (and equivalent laws elsewhere), you can ask to access, correct, or delete your data at any time, object to how it's used, or withdraw consent for anything you've opted into. Specifically:

• Unsubscribe instantly: every newsletter/waitlist email has an unsubscribe link, or use the unsubscribe page directly.
• Delete your data entirely ("right to be forgotten"): email support@cobyx.euand we'll remove your contact record and any related correspondence.
• Access or correct your data:same email address — tell us what you'd like and we'll sort it, generally within a few days.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect or how we use it changes meaningfully, we'll update this page and, where it affects you directly (like adding analytics cookies), ask for consent again rather than relying on this version.
